Scholarships Awards
The application deadline is Friday - April 23rd, 2010.
The scholarships will be presented at our Awards Dinner. Date, Place and Speaker to be determined.
The Bridgeport Board of REALTORS® Announces 6 Scholarships:
“The GBBR Emerging Leadership Award” In an effort to reach out into the community that it serves, the GBBR has created a new $1,000 scholarship available to any high school senior attending an accredited school in Bridgeport who can demonstrate financial need. The student’s parents or guardians do not have to be affiliated with the GBBR. The applicant must have a 3.0 GPA or better. While financial need is the focus of this award, school and community involvement, personal achievements and goals will be considered.
The GBBR has five $1,000 awards available to the child/stepchild/grandchild of an active GBBR member (in good standing for at least one year prior to application). An applicant must be a high school senior or equivalent or enrolled in an advanced program at an accredited school or college and have at least 1 more year left of school. The applicant must have at least a 3.0 GPA or better.
The five Scholarships are:
- Michael F. DelVecchio, Jr. Award
- Louis P. Leone Award
- GBBR Past Presidents Award
- Gateway to College Award
- GBBR Personal Achievement Award Diligence.
Class standing, grade point average, SAT scores, school and community involvement, personal achievements and goals will all be considered.
