A Letter from the 2009 GBBR President, Luis Sanchez

Dear Valued Members of the Greater Bridgeport Board of REALTORS?:

Focus on the positive. I am often asked "Is now the time to buy?" Guess what my answer is? Prices have fallen. Interest rates are great. There are low down payment loan programs available. There is even an $8,000 tax credit to first-time buyers. Of course it is a good time to buy! Many of you are having a tough time dealing with the current market conditions. The market has certainly changed and to survive we need to change with it. There is always a way to make money in any market. Stay positive, unite our voices and get the word out - It's a great time to buy!

Please check our calendar and join us. New faces are always welcomed and encouraged.

A Letter from the GBBR Association Executive, Bob Marinaccio

Dear Members of the Bridgeport Board of REALTORS:

Thank you to all who participated in our recent survey. One thing we learned from your valuable feedback is that you do enjoy the GBBR Newsletter. We welcome your suggestions and input and encourage you to email us with your contribution to the newsletter and we will do our best to include your article. We especially welcome photos, etc. from member events. The best way to submit your contribution is to email it to Shannon.Monaco@thegbbr.com and either include your submission in the content of the email or attach it as a Word Document.

Recently we have had a number of successful events thanks to the strong participation of our membership. The Rally at the BowTie Cinema was an excellent venue to prepare our voices to be heard at REALTOR Day at the Capitol. Thank you to those who attended the Rally and those who participated in making REALTOR Day at the Capitol 2009 a success. We encourage all GBBR Members to participate in these events because we all know that there is indeed strength in numbers and that is imperative to the state legislators responding on behalf of our issues.

Thank you to Robert Scinto for his April 14, 2009 REALTOR Informational Session at the Renaissance in Shelton. Special thanks to Judy Miko, Joe Figmac and Joe Kapell for coordinating this special event for the GBBR members. Again, we encourage all members to follow suit in organizing these types of events. Not only was the session informative, a good time was had by all which allowed for social networking in a relaxed setting. That is the key to your personal success as a REALTOR!
